I mean, If they’re got a clear target, the club they need to buy from has set a date for them to make an offer, then surely you accept that. I mean it could have all been bluff and they don’t actually want Sancho which I could totally understand in this day and age.

I just think if a club targets a player they ‘need’ but make no advances, it’s probably a bit irresponsible of them. If the selling club has set out some terms and conditions that need to be met and the buying club feels the need to disregard that and assume they can do what they want, then id say that’s arrogant. I don’t walk into an electronics shop looking to pick up a sale item after the sale has passed, and then call the shopkeeper a campaigner and get mad when he honours the advertised terms and not what I deem to be acceptable.

Maybe it's irresponsible to be spending 120m during a pandemic on one player because if we did sign him those headlines would come up.

Dortmund say it's 120m or no deal, so no deal. Great, good for United for not wasting a whole market negotiating 120m down to 120m.

What will happen is they will chase him all summer, won't get him... then start the season off struggling. Come January Ole would have been sacked by most clubs but they will keep him on and then they'll buy Sancho and turn around their season to just finish inside the CL spots.

Yep very much a luxury signing. Our attack is fine. I'm sure we'll target a RW or striker tho but it's not an urgent need.
