**** me

We sign Hojbjerg and his kit number announced is number 5

All the millenials and zoomers and snowflakes all start melting over it on twitter, hurrdurr Jan, wah wah wah Jan, hurrdurr disrespectful to Jan

STFU...it's just a number

I wonder how many of the same people who sulk about a new player getting a former players number would be the same people who shit on Birmingham retirement Bellingham’s number.
Silly thing to complain about.

Can’t complain so far. Jose has wanted two players and got them both. Neither are old, neither are 30+ mercenaries looking for a super top up.

If this frees up Ndombele then it could be a very well spent 3m.

Best Pierre in London? ;)

Just so we can close this - he signed a 1 year extension till 2023. Build Zorc a statue I love this game

Someone dug this out on twitter.

It seems as though Dortmund stealth extend players without anyone knowing about it lol

It's kinda weird that they didn't announce Sancho had extended earlier as it strengthens them considerably with any negotiations. In a normal market 120m euros is a bargain for someone of Sancho's ability, age and output.

Youve done well on Sancho. In 12 months time theres a good chance that Sancho will go for more than 120 million with the pandemic likely to be lessened by then with 2 years still remaining on his contract.

Yeah, think it’s time to focus on other targets. Still need a LB, CB and CM (now we can focus on 2 of the 3 without buying Sancho). As much as I would love to buy Sancho, the club can’t afford to waste this transfer window.

Just come back in 12 months. Financial environment will hopefully be better by then. Dortmund will sell if the price is right.

Dortmund would sell now if the price was right.

Problem is that price seems to be out of reach in todays environment for you guys.

Fast forward 12 months and theres a good chance you will be in a better position to shell out the big ££££

I'd say he'd be worth more in 12 months time if he continues the way he is going.

BVB know that only us can possibly afford him this window, they’ve set a price, we so far don’t want to pay that. In 12 months time, Sancho could possibly cost more and there’s a good chance a few other big clubs will enter the race, as they probably can’t right now from a financial hit due to COVID.

If we miss out on him this window, I’m not convinced he comes 12 months later.

Great get for Spurs.

Really?

Being canned in the UK and most Southampton supporters seemed happy to drive him to the airport for that price.

So now all these ‘tier 1’ football journalists (or Insteon not included) are all writing that Sancho needs to push for a move somehow. It’s like they’re begging for him to do it so their predictions come true, seeing how certain they were he was leaning.

Not for one minute do I think a player really cares what a journalist says about them, but jfc that’s cancerous. Also ‘fans’ wishing Sancho injuries cos he didn’t move to Manchester. Football twitter is a dark place

That‘s why I avoid twitter comment sections, after a big transfer didn’t go down, wherever possible. If Sancho doesn’t come to the club I support, I would still prefer to watch him play for his current club because he is a very good footballer and it is more enjoyable that way. Wishing injuries on a player is just a bad look.

Seems his head was out the door mate

We had the same problem with Eriksen
Recency bias sadly has caused a lot of fans to remember the last 12 months when Christian had checked out and not the years prior where he was great. No idea if the same applies to PEH but he has done well in some metrics.
