3rd bid from Leeds for Ben White - £25m.

You’d think if they don’t accept this we would move on.

Such a classy lot at Leeds.

We won't accept it because he was never for sale to Leeds.

I think the Leeds hierarchy have just thrown out bids to appease their dullard fan base so they can say "we tried".

After the season he had I don't think we're making bids to just appease the fans.

Well why make such low offers then for a player not available for sale to you?

Most people understand the too good an offer to turn down concept. Making offers way under that amount is never going to persuade someone to sell something they don't want to sell.

Yes, that's exactly what we are doing. We are just trying to show "we tried"

Why are you trying to low ball him in contract talks then?

Been reported you've offered him 20k a week but wont budge at that transfer fee. Brighton fans have been real hypocrites during this saga.

Wtaf. How does anyone think thats a good idea at this stage of his career? I really hope this isnt true, would be a dead set waste.

Celtic is a black hole for Aussie talent these days. I hate when anyone is linked to go there.

Well considering Sancho isn’t leaving and it’s a loan, no it’s not

Two year loan. Latest from Dortmund seems to be they are happy to sell.

Coaching bagging him too

You have no idea what is going on with contract negotiations.

Brighton fans will admit they don't know but apparently Leeds fans have all the inside info on what's going on.

When it comes to our club "been reported" means nothing. In many Leeds fans minds "been reported" equals facts.

How have we been hypocrites?

Yes?

I don't know where contract negotiations are at, neither does the Brighton fans forum board.

How is it Leeds fans know what's going on?

It's coming straight from the Brighton Athletic scribe Andy Naylor in conjuction with Phil Hay who is Leeds #1 journo.

Do you think Leeds fans are just inventing the fact that White is rejecting your contract offers to piss off Brighton fans?

How do you know Leeds have actually bid on him then? Maybe Brighton fans are just jumping to conclusions on that to?

You can't have it both ways, you act like Brighton are super sleuths when it comes to transfer fee's and contract discussions, yet carry on here when there's a rumored Leeds bid.

Hay has said this is the 3rd and final bid, if it's rejected we will be moving on to Robin Koch, which I wouldn't mind in all honesty.

Hay also mentioned on his podcast that no other club has been close to a formal bid at the rumoured price, so it seems it's either Leeds or he's staying with Brighton.

Both of these guys are respected journo's, they don't post rumours given they are always the first port of call from their respective clubs, they don't shit on that relationship:

Leeds United
have made a third attempt to lure Ben White away from Brighton and Hove Albion, report Andy Naylor, Adam Crafton and Phil Hay.

They’ve submitted an offer of a guaranteed £25 million, plus additional clauses based on individual and team performance.

Leeds are indicating it is the final offer they will make for the 22-year-old central defender, who starred in their Championship title-winning campaign on loan from Brighton.

White’s parent club are expected to reject Leeds once again, having turned down two earlier bids, the second for £22 million. A source tells The Athletic that Brighton have “no interest in selling him whatsoever.”

They remain in ongoing contract talks with White, who is understood to have turned down a third offer of a new deal.

His current contract, agreed before joining Leeds on loan for the season, expires in June 2022.

Chelsea and Liverpool are monitoring White’s situation, although Leeds are the only club to have made contact with Brighton.

Leeds will turn their attention to Freiburg’s Robin Koch if their pursuit of White fails. The 24-year-old German international has been monitored for months by Victor Orta, the director of football at Elland Road.

Koch is regarded as a similar type of player to White and a viable alternative. Leeds are believed to have a third option but the identity of that player is not yet known to The Athletic.

His body's always let him down and, although he's only 27, he may feel like he's only got a few years left in his career and it's worthwhile cashing in.

To be honest that’s one of the more polite posts I’ve seen from Leeds fans in regards to Ben White.

You don’t get if you don’t ask. Plenty of clubs have said a player is not up for sale in the past and then sold.

What do you think he is worth by the way?

It’s a good idea for his bank account

It still can be a good idea for his bank account when he is 33, the money aint going anywhere. Time & time again Aussies chasing money in either the ME or China have seen their career suffer. So many Aussies would give anything to have Rogic's talent, dont waste prime years chasing money. This is a huge problem for the Socceroos also.
