MARCA] Gaspart: "Messi will have to leave in 2021. I have seen the contract and it is very clear. I prefer him to leave next year for zero than to go now for less than 700m euros. The club is in charge here, not the player. I love Messi very much, but I love Barcelona more, let the clause be paid
U changed your name without telling me???![]()
I'm amazed at how some people actually mention him in the same breath as Ronaldo, let alone Maradona. Ronaldo runs his guts out, does everything he can for his team and when the final whistle blows, he's knackered; Messi's is as fresh as a daisy. As for comparisons with Maradona, that's just absolutely idiotic. Messi isn't as good as one of Maradona's farts.Nice melt.

Sorry dad.

hahahahahahahahaaaa aahahahahaha Maradona is light years ahead of Messi.Messi is the goat.

Maradona is far and away the best player that has ever stepped onto a football pitch. He is clearly a massive whinger, Barca as a club is but he is a tremendous talent. I do agree tho Ronaldo is better.
Also both better than the cheater Maradona.

As for cheating, what did you expect him to do after he handled the ball, say to the ref, "sorry mate, I touched that with my hand, disallow the goal"? That would make every player who has not owned up to tugging a shirt, diving to earn a free/penalty or doing anything illegal on the spur of the moment and not admitting it a cheat.
Maradona was the complete player, he was as close to perfection as you could ever get. If you ever saw him play and then seen Messi, there is absolutely no way on this earth that you could compare them - Maradona is another galaxy in comparison to Messi and anyone else for that matter.
No no, not hate, nah no way. We are discussing footballing ability and I've seen both of those players in the flesh and I'm saying that Messi cannot be compared to Maradona. I don't hate you, bloody hell! I'm sorry and apologise if I made you feel uncomfortable.Too much hate dude....
You're telling someone their subjective view is wrong but yours is right?hahahahahahahahaaaa aahahahahaha Maradona is light years ahead of Messi.

You know, that too has been manipulated in such a way to suggest that the stimulants in Maradona's system were an overall performance enhancing; They weren't. Players train to bring their heart rate down at rest so there is plenty of "headroom" upon physical exertion, that is, having the ability to "go hard" for longer and then being able to repeat that numerous times. Cocaine and other stimulants like the one found in Maradona's system increase body temperature, blood pressure and heart rate and constricts blood vessels and in fact decreases performance instead of enhancing it. Maradona wanted to lose weight fast and that's what those drugs were all about. He was also a drug cheat.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning his actions.
The one thing that Maradona and just about all, if not all the players playing in Italy in the mid 80's and 90's but not exclusive just to the Italian Leagues were guilty of, was having novocaine and epinephrine (adrenaline) being used in conjunction to stop pain which is performance enhancing. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of players in the '94 World Cup were far more "doped up" to enhance their performance than Maradona.
Messi has shown what a f****ng disgrace he is. His team lost 8-2 and he wants to leave?
He runs probably less than any other professional footballer on earth, he was a complete and utter passenger in the World Cups he's played in and I hope some idiot manger in the EPL brings him to the league because he'll get eaten alive. He won't be the protected species he is in Spain where referees give him frees because he wants them and opposition players steer clear of him so they won't be crucified by the Spanish press - he'll be destroyed! Which manager in the Premier League will play him even though he doesn't run, doesn't tackle, doesn't press and lets opponents run past him five yards away with the ball and doesn't even bother trying to put in?
Messi is not, has never been or will ever be a team player - he's an overrated joke. Great ball control, top class shot but that's not the be all and end all of being a top class player and he has shown that when playing for Argentina.
Subjectivity is crap?Ummm, 30 years ago, Messi would have been crippled in the first few games he played. Referees let primeval butchery go and Maradona and Pele and other superb players had to overcome obstacles that the so called "modern" players did not have to encounter. Again, don't get me wrong, I'm not having a crack at the players of today. If you had seen Maradona at Napoli or in the World Cups, there is absolutely no way that you would have Messi or Ronaldo anywhere near Maradona.
If it were possible to teleport players of bygone era's into today and give them the benefit of the advances in exercise and sports science AND the protection afforded by referees today and rightly so may I add, they would still be champions but if you were to do that exercise in reverse, then there are many of today's players that wouldn't hack it but that doesn't mean that they are bad players per se.
When it comes to straight out talent and ability, there are a group of players who are in the champion category and to pick one over another, is just personal preference and then there is Maradona. There is no player that has played before or since Maradona that can approach him and that's just the way it is.
This subjectivity crap that Cruyff14 the hair gel gumby talks about, is like saying that a V8 Monaro is a better to drive than a Ferrari. It has nothing to do with subjectivity, Maradona was the complete footballer - Messi has never tackled a player in his life, he has never tracked back hard to help out his team mates, has never skipped passed three quarters of a football side in a World Cup who tried to stop him by any means and then score, Messi has never ever been a team player.
That's what I just said: I'm willing to bet that most if not all the players at that world cup were doped up and as for cocaine being a performance enhancing drug, that's more myth than reality, that is, unless players go off every 15 minutes or so for a top up or they are playing a sport that lasts for 15 minutes max.So the argies were not drugged up during the wc?
Bollocks Coke isn't a PED
Messi had a 70+ goal, 20 assist season......
