Messi at 200m is not going to be profitable for any club. If he can somehow push the freebie through maybe but you have to ask wha his wages would do to a wage structure.

I assume the Messi marketing stuff is fairly substantial.

Who knows, only he can answer that. Maybe you guys should put it to him that he is going to be #2 at Chelsea and if he wants to become a #1 ,again he'll need to move elsewhere and take a paycut. If he decides he prefers the wages to sit on the bench then so be it.

Just caught up on all this discussion. Would love to see Leeds thrive in the EPL. Big reason for my love of football was Dukes and Kewell, aussies killing it in Europe, and I just really liked their team in general.

I don’t think anyone could get promoted and not have to make signings to strengthen to stay up.

I went and watched some of Bielsa’s sessions when they came to Perth and the guy is meticulous with it. I back him to keep them up and even possibly finish mid-table. I also think he will allow his side to adapt where necessary. I mean here’s a coach who spied on other teams training - no way he doesn’t make tactical changes where necessary.
