do nothing other than play midtable at best or go make more money, play for trophies both league and in the asian champions league. hmm

Change of scenery & cuisine....Good luck to any bloke who can make decent coin from kicking a ball about, I say.

The nsl could keep a viduka for a season probably due to cultural reasons.

The a league would probably lose an equal talent today to a Belgium u18 side.

The nsl produced the golden generation it can't have been that bad

Not sure they produced them, it was just a golden generation in Australian football. The NSL crowds were terrible.

The big pay cheque probably isn’t there when he’s well into his 30’s

lol. have you not seen the me/ indian/asian leagues? the money will be there. in any case hes got a 50k/week contract now at Brighton until 2023. thats much more certain than playing in China where getting paid depends on if your club ownership is only friendly terms with the communist govt.

I’d imagine those league will offer more money to an average player in their physical prime rather than an average player who’s cooked. He’s a not a big name that will get get guaranteed money when he’s cooked and on sheer star power alone.

If the Chinese money was so risky nobody would be going there.

Plenty have left the Chinese league and I am yet to see an Aussue footballer who has improved their career by going there.

Mooy isnt an average player thats cooked either, he played 31 games / 2089 minutes.

Suspect that this may well be agent driven, it certainly came out of the blue. Mooy was the last player anyone who follows Aussie football expected to move to China.

And no one is expecting it to be any different here. Mooy has hit his peak anyways so he’s not improving if he stays anyways.

No, he’s an average player in his prime. When his in his 30’s he’ll be an average player that’s cooked.

Oh yes the big bad agent forced Mooy to move to China.

Abramovich has to give Lampard time if things don’t start well. Lots of new players with shortest pre season ever. Think all coaches should be given some slack this season.

Lampard should suffer a public beheading if they fall out of the top 3 at any stage of the season.

Moreno to Leeds done

Robin Koch on the way as well apparently (German international CB). Him and Rodrigo is great business from Leeds if he gets over the line. A keeper, CM, LB and maybe another winger or two and Leeds would have no trouble staying up. Also reckon Sam Greenwood could be a jet under Bielsa if he develops.

Didnt you spend over 100m between Kovacic & Pulisic last year? You outspent us with a transfer ban!
Bit under i think.

Since Jan 2019 rough figures

IN: Pulisic £57m Werner £47.5m, Ziyech £33.5m, Chilwell £50m, Kovačić £40m.

TOTAL: £228m

OUT: Fabregas £8m Hazard £100m, Morata £58m, Pasalic £14m, Aina £9m, Kalas £8m, Luiz £8m, Hector £5m, Omeruo £5m.

TOTAL: £215m

Don't be silly they're not making any other signings after Koch.
