I dont know what La Masia is but a struggling HAL is still much stronger than the NSL ever was.

The NSL produced players that the a-league could only dream of. The majority of the 2006 World Cup squad were homegrown NSL players. Don’t make make stupid uninformed statements.

Not uninformed at all. Sometimes one generation is better than the next.

And if you seriously think the NSL was the primary reason those players reached the level they did then you’re delusional. Would suggest their path was defined before that.

It was an absolute nothing competition when it disbanded.

Don't be silly they're not making any other signings after Koch.

We have always been looking at a winger/#10 type, no need to change the goal posts.

Not sure what you mean by their path was defined before that

NSL teams all fielded juniors from u8’s right thru to seniors something the a-league still hasn’t managed yet. I’ll agree with you the last few years of the NSL weren’t the best but by that stage all money was taken out of the league.
Anyway it looks like the a-league is dying a slow death

Excluding the agreed fee's on the loans being made permanent, we've already signed 3 players, likely 2 more in the next few days and then Greenwood from Arsenal.

How many do you think is needed with your infinite knowledge of our depth and u/23's?

Rice won't be going unless it's Harry Maguire sort of money, although I heard a bid may come on the final day of the window which would give us no time to sign replacements etc. if that's the case.

€13m

We are also looking at Axel Tuanzebe on loan with an option.

£58m to go...

If we are going chase him it wont be left late. That would be dumb. It'll happen before the season starts.

But you wont sell until next summer. Ground work is done though.

I guess for Donna you'd just wait 6-12 months and sign him for free.

Hos scummy managers fee wouldnt hurt that much then.

is he out of contract again? feels like a contract saga ever 5mins with the don

We’ll spend the rest of the transfer window deciding if we want him or not, won’t pull the trigger then get him in Jan.

Like you did with us with Bowen lol.

Anyone know what sort of figures Chelsea would be looking at to be in FFP trouble?

I know it’s a joke considering what clubs have been slapped on the wrist with and I know they had the transfer ban, but surely they must be looking at spending almost as much as they would be allowed to and as far as I know they haven’t had any big outgoings yet
