Even though we never publicly registered our interest I think that's about as close as we'll ever get to the Messi dream.

In three months time he'll be able to sign a pre contract, in 8 months time he won't need to go through the courts to move. But by then there'll be another election at Barca, and if I don't think Messi left anyone in doubt which way they should vote when that day comes.

You probably got him if you registered an official bid for a decent amount.

With their squad, Chelsea are probably more suited to a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Put it this way. Remember when we had the guy plant the corner flag against Burnley about 2.5 years ago.

Sullivan goes out and makes Pellegrini the 3rd highest paid manager in the division and spends about 100M on players but only paid about a quarter of that up front. Same thing with Hallers transfer last season.

Refreshing honesty. You have fans from other clubs tying themselves in knots claiming their club was bought as an investment to make profit. That's never going to be the case, much better and faster ways to make money other than owning a football club.
