Barcalona are pieces of shit. Messi asks president a year ago if he can leave after this season and president says yes you can stay or go, up to you, but because the contract stated he must say this by June 10, they are clinging to that technicality in forcing him to stay. What a shit club doing that to a player who's been there his entire career and done so much for them

Theres no techinicality about it at all. Messi said himself it expired on June 10. He could have ended the contract there and negotiated a short term extension like all the other players who had contracts expiring before the seasons end. Would have given the club time to prepare in the transfer market too.

Instead he cracked the sads because Barca got spanked 8-2 and decided that he now wanted out. For free instead of negotiating a transfer fee in tge middle of a pandemic. Piss poor. Bet you he wouldn't have tried this on if Barca won the double.

We havent tried to sign any players this window. There is a pandemic on after all.
Need I remind you of a certain player by the name of Timo Werner?

End of the season? Lol.

He’s obviously been given absolutely everything on his shopping list. I couldn’t care less if it was previous transfer revenue, it’s still money out the door in his reign.

Frank would want to be in the top 2 by Christmas. Roman won’t fu** around after this outlay if they are shuffling around in 4th or 5th for CL places.

He'll be under the same pressure as every other Chelsea manager. Hes here to try and win stuff and that'll be the pass mark.

I’m hoping Roman is a lot more sensible than some of the posters on this board and realises that it will take time for all these new players to a) find their feet/adapt to the league, b) develop cohesion and c) challenge two of the greatest teams in EPL history for the title. Building this team won’t happen overnight and no signing is a guarantee in football, no matter how highly they are touted.

We also have a limited pre-season, so anyone expecting Chelsea to hit the ground running and be title contenders by Christmas is probably in for a little surprise. I think we will start to impose ourselves in the latter stages of the season, then launch into 2021/22. This is when the pressure will mount on Frank, not months into the upcoming season.

Our defence still remains a huge concern. Not sure a 36 year old and a good ordinary left back is going to fix the problems we have back there. Similar to Liverpool, the defence and GK situation will be the last area to be addressed.

this, the goal for this season really should be to close the gap on Liverpool/City, but given how many signings we've made they will need to time to gel together. should absolutely be looking to claim a cup though, and a better showing in Europe

Lol Chelsea would have to be relegated for Lamps to be sacked. They are backing him long time.

Theyll either kill it or Lampard will be sacked by the end of the season if theres no trophies. They'll provide entertaining football no matter what eventuates.
I’m not even a Chelsea fan and I’m pretty excited. Despite being an Arsenal fan, I’ve always kind of liked Chelsea.

Yeah, it’s the fault of the Messi camp. It was up to them to re negotiate the contract whilst they still had leverage.

A 3 year plan has been spoken about a bit by Frank and Petr, this season is about putting all together and setting up a tilt in 21/22.

No doubt we'll try and win stuff this season and if we dont we'll put it down as a failure but theres a bigger picture to what we are doing. Frank is going to get a fair bit of patience considering hes only managed for two seasons. Something special is happening.

Middle of the table by Xmas and Franky boy is gone. Unproven already, Roman won’t have the patience after big spend and all that talent. Can’t see it happening though, too much talent and Kante back will help protect the defence

Looked others have said will certainly be entertaining to watch
