Living wage is effectively what studies deem to be the wage required to realistically be able to live in the UK. This is roughly £3 an hour more than the legislated minimum wage (which is roughly £9 an hour in London, lower elsewhere). Naturally, this applies mainly to those at the bottom of the organisation. There's been a push for the living wage to be adopted as the minimum wage, with some organisations (such as those mentioned in the post you quoted) voluntarily signing up to pay at least the living wage.

You might get 8 or 9 years out if Hazard for your transfer fee, you're only ever going to get two or three out of Messi.

I understand what you're trying to say but even Hazard with five years on his deal isn't worth a Messi with 12 months.

Well we're a bigger club but that's the thing in our current state we're not going to be able to attract that sort of player atm.

Williams played on the left at youth levels, due to Ethan Laird being seen as the better prospect - I think.

Ole has already got DVDB - I don't think a left back is as far down tge list as you think. You don't have to buy them in order of priority either.

I've revised my opinion a bit since then. We could do with strengthening here but I still think a new RW and CB are bigger priorities.

There's a reason why Williams was pushed out to the left; he wasn't good enough at RB. He's also shown that against decent opposition he's a liability on the left as well. He's adequate backup for now but I don't see him lasting long term so I don't mind the Reguilon links.
