I love how the last few pages have just been United fans trying to convince eachother as to who is shitter, Henderson or DDC. :D

We prefer to say who is better.

Whatever Messi did to you it must’ve been serious and if there’s any justice in the world he’ll be locked up for it. To generate that level of obsessive hatred towards such an inoffensive character leaves that as the only reason.
He's an overrated tart who's been promoted like there's no tomorrow by FIFA as being the type of player all youngsters should aspire to. As an Australian, I find his attitude to his club, to his country and his teams mates abhorrent.

If being a brilliant goalscorer makes you the greatest player of all time, then how about Paulo Maldini. He played 647 games for AC Milan and 126 times for Italy and in all of those games, all 773, he would have been directly responsible for stopping the opposition from scoring at least once in a game, sometimes twice and occasionally 3 times so in effect, he was worth about 773 goals for AC Milan and his country. Why isn't he talked about as the greatest player of all time?

Cruyff didn't score a goal a game nor did he save his team a goal a game but he was the engine that drove all of the teams he played for. He never ever hid, he never ever coward, waiting for the final whistle to blow - he led by example. His ball control, vision, passing, finishing, tackling and his passion shone in every game he played and if people want to compare footballers, Messi doesn't come within coee of Cruyff and even though Messi's finishing is superb, that does not make him a better footballer than Cruyff.

The reason I get really wound up by people saying that Messi is the greatest of all time is that the truly great players who weren't just goal scorers are being grossly insulted. The John Coleman Medal is presented to the highest Goalkicker of AFL season. Coleman kicked 537 goals in 93 games to have the 2nd highest average in AFL/VFL history, Peter Hudson kicked 1,721 goals in 288 premiership games. Using the flawed logic that kicking/scoring the most goals makes you the greatest of all time, the Hudson was better than Coleman who were both better than Leigh Mathews, Maurice Rioli, Ian Stewart, Russell Ebert, Barry Robran, Bobby Skilton etc etc.

Popularity does not make you the "greatest of all time", sheer footballing ability does that and with all due respect to Messi's extraordinary scoring feats, those feats alone do not making him the greatest footballer of all time.

Nice obfuscation....You couldn't answer the question directly, because a direct answer would be embarrassing for your argument.

Shouldn't you be leading the charge on the 'Lets get rid of Ole' band-wagon back on our home board again?

What happened to hendo refusing to be ddgs back up? You were strong on that front no
