I mean sure. As a backup striker - if he’s happy to sit on the bench than full strength to him. But he’s rated at 30m on TransferMarkt. Would you be happy to pay that for a backup striker who scored 1/3 of his tally as penalties and exactly half his tally against bottom 4 teams?

Doesnt get a game in a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3 which are our 2 most likely formations.

Doesn't do well enough out wide because he is a slow mover of the ball. Doesn't do well enough as a false 9 playing up top.

Needs to play as a support striker in a 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 which is what he had under Poch at his best. Even under Poch he struggled when playing other roles.

Long story short he’s a raumdeuter playing in a team that increasingly each season is less suited to this role. Even more so now that Mourinho is here given the counter game plan as opposed possession football.

Rumoured to have had a bust up with Jose in Bulgaria and got hooked.
