If Koch keeps playing we will give that number a nudge.

Its good to see non Leeds supporters arguing over Leeds now.

I just assumed Crypt was one of you, but maybe he just has a touch of Apollo when it comes to Bielsa.

That is bizarre.

His goal against Fulham has been put as 0.06 by one source and another apparently 0.48 which seems much more reasonable to me.

Bamfords goal against Liverpool was classed as a 0.07.

Harrison's was a 0.06 when he dribbled through TAA and scored from the edge of the area in one of the goals of the round and Klich's with the great first touch and volley a 0.07.

I think we can conclude that the numbers perhaps shouldn't be referenced for an argument about Leeds unsustainability in the league.

No one's mentioned the numbers except you. The only numbers I've mentioned are shots on target vs goals scored.

Again, it's a pretty simplistic view.

For one, I can't recall us taking a shot outside the box in the first two games. We generally try and play the ball into genuine goal-scoring opportunities or try for crosses.

West Ham have had 29 shots and 5 on target in the first two matches for a solitary goal. We have had 16 total shots for 10 on target for 7 goals. I think it probably illustrates It's as much about the quality of your opportunities as anything and we haven't been short on possession.

Admittedly we were well down against Fulham but still got the win, which is a good sign. We went from mid 30's in tackles against Liverpool down to 18 or so against Fulham.

So it will be interesting how they come out against Sheff Utd, as I imagine they would have copped a bollocking during the week.

Bielsa isn't in the top 10, probably top 20 managers in the world. Everyone's gone a little bit overboard with their praise here. He's not some transcendent genius manager, otherwise he might have won something other than the English second division in the last decade.

Nobody has even stated that. I think Crypt Keeper has simply repeated what the likes of Guardiola, Poch
, Bilic etc have said about him.

As for trophies, he's never managed legitimate title contending sides, mostly by choice and what was perceived as an erratic personality from some of the bigger clubs anyhow.

The best team he has managed is probably the Argentinian side in terms of their relative prospects in a competition.

He is on record as stating he prefers challenges, building clubs, players and sides up etc.

That's why some of the media suggestions regarding Man Utd are fairly ridiculous, it's not a job he'd take on.

I'd say he will retire from club management after Leeds anyway, you might see him for the odd national team stint at the next two world cups.

Yes that's fair, I suppose I was coloured by the way you finished the previous season, and your improved fitness may well have helped you finish last season fine, it's one of those unknowables, but your form leading into the lockdown was certainly better.
Bielsa's teams have a habit of doing that. Marseille lead the league for seven months and finished fourth in 2014/15.

I guess Bielsa is being simplistic then, oh well.

I don't think he's a world-class manager either - he's more a brilliant influence than a brilliant manager, but he is still very skilled.

Also, who are the 20 who are definitively better?

The following IMO definitively are ATM:
- Klopp
- Pep
- Sarri
- Ancelotti
- Zidane
- Flick
- Tuchel
- Simeone
- Deschamps
- Gasperini
- Jorge Jesus*
- Naglesmann
- Conte
- Favre
- Lopetegui
- Ten Hag
- Pochettino
- Allegri

That's up to 18 I can think of, and some of these might be arguable when you look at the context of where Leeds were before Bielsa took over. The likes of Nuno, Hassenhuttl, Sampaoli* and Rodgers are in a similar bracket, but certainly not definitively better. Ranieri, Mourinho and Pelligrini aren't what they once were, and while Dyche, Wilder, Villas-Boas and Rose have done some good work, I still need to see more from them.

Also Bielsa has never managed a title favourite to my knowledge. Even Newell's Old Boys aren't one of the biggest Argentine clubs (that would be River Plate, Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo, Racing Club and Independiente).

*Won Brasileiro
*Came 2nd in Brazil with a fairly average Santos side

You forgot Arteta.

You forgot Arteta.

In what bracket, though?

IMO he hasn't managed for long enough, though I think he is talented.

Frank Lampard has the same issue, and of course I think he's a legend.

EDIT: I edited the above list to include Mourinho, though he's largely living off past glories and isn't the same manager anymore. Also put Allegri ahead, even though he's more someone who adds the finishing touch to strong sides than he is a talented developmental manager.

Interesting. Mirallas would brIng the crowds in (when they are allowed).

Kevin Stewart wont exactly be a drawcard.
who on earth would go to a game just to watch kevin mirallas?

Remember when Leeds were in the Championship? Glorious days.

What was harder for them? Making the PL or the fans coming up against SM on here?

attacking player, plenty of football fans would know him from his everton days. will get a few euro snobs through the gates. you wouldnt go just for him but he would make a difference imo

Wonder how Coady feels being almost the only Englishman at Wolves and seeing Portuguese walk through the door? Surely they must be getting close to not having enough HG players.

HG for them is portugese players.
