I was pointing out how relevant 6 years ago is.

How is his managerial history irrelevant because it was 6 years ago? In fact it was only 4 years between the two major incidents happening of his teams sputtering to a grinding holt while leading the title race.

It’s amazing since Leeds got promoted to the PL how many supporters of theirs actually exist on this section. For the longest time I thought Elmer_Judd was the only one.

It was meant to be as a freebie, Barcelona agreed he could leave but took it back once they found out it was to AM.

Apparently the board was really split on this, but they need to let players go to bring the wage bill down, which was more than 80% of their expenditure last season. Suarez is taking a pay cut, and I think Barcelona is paying him a year's salary to accept to leave. His contract ran for 2 more years.

He's still quality and will score goals, but you can't have 2 players on the team who don't have the legs to defend anymore.

How much a year would he be on though?

Around 15m per year. He wanted 25m to leave, and I think they settled for a year's salary.
