He's been great in the Liga NOS, but there are doubts about his ability against the better teams. He hasn't performed particularly well in the UCL.

Why not? Stones just isnt good enough at CB to win the CL. Rice can play at CB and also at DM. Would be the ideal player to replace Dinho & Stones.
