Very early in the window a United mouthpiece jurno was saying it's bad optics to spend huge during corona.

Sounds like bullshit to me Glazer's buying more private islands.

Even you seem accepting Sancho is probably gone after one more season

It's be cool Dortmund could keep the squad together for a few years but seems unlikely

Every single Dortmund fan is accepting of the fact that he’s a young kid who probably wants to return home when his value is high, get paid well and play in front of his family. We aren’t that sort of drawcard. We can’t offer him the same money as EPL clubs, and he can’t play in front of his mates every second week. However, everyone wants to see him stay as long as possible.

There’s exactly the same feeling surrounding Bellingham. Not so much Haaland - although he’s going big in a couple years.

There’s a good reason why Bayern target the best German talent. There’s also a reason city couldn’t keep Sane.

United could have squashed the rumours if they wanted. To me, it looks like they wanted the rumours out there in the hope that Dortmund would fold.

Clubs don’t really squash rumours that they are no longer pursuing a player. You risk pissing off the player that way and he won’t want to come to your club the following year. I don’t think United’s officials were thinking that Dortmund would panic and sell Sancho for a reduced fee but they were not going to publicly say they weren’t going to try to buy him.

Clubs in general simply don't talk about it.

Im still fascinated where sarr of Watford ends up. Looks like a ripping option for a middling epl team.

Watford should go up if he hangs around? Apparently United doesn't want him any more after they failed to sign (loan?) On deadline day.

The majority of players aren‘t worth what they are being paid.

Adrian got paid £160,000 last week and ended up conceding 7 goals. Just saying...

That's Allison's salary. Adrian is on 55k/week. Worth every penny, look at this fantastic positioning

Wasn't Adrian hopeless last time he stood in for Allison?

Was actually reasonable with a few howler moments thrown in. Have been a few rumours floating around we are targeting Butland who can still be signed until the 17th of October. Would be happy with that if Adrian could be sent in the opposite direction.

Karius is still on Liverpool's books. He thought he performed quite well apart from that disastrous Champions League final where he was possibly concussed. But it looks like his Liverpool career is over.

Edit : they also let Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward go, who might have been better options than Adrian.

Karius is gone. Id like Butland if its a possibility.

Adrian always did have a debacle in him when he was keeping for us, consistency has never been his strong suit.

Is capable of having a great game every now and then though.

Interesting insight from 'Arry

Like with a lot of 'Arry stories, there's probably a fair bit of mayo on this one. I recall Real Madrid were really into him as well at the time and I also remember Sir Alex Ferguson commenting that United only walked away from negotiations because of the signing fee that Hazard's agent was chasing.

Every big club in Europe wanted him, there’s no way he would have gone to Tottenham.

If I remember correctly, there was even a bit of surprise that he chose Chelsea.

We also signed Thorgan Hazard in the summer which may have played a part in getting Eden in blue
