Was finally confirmed at Everton’s AGM that Rodriguez was signed on a free transfer.

Also mentioned that we weren’t looking for signings this month, maybe they meant permanent ones anyway as there is a bit of talk we are close to a loan for Zirkzee from Bayern Munich. He trialled as a youngster about 3/4 years ago and came close to signing him. Might be a Tosun replacement if we can shift him out

He was one of those signings for a lower premier league team trying to get to the next level by changing their style of play etc. that quite often doesn't work out really.

Unfortunately, yeah. A club decision to trigger his option. Now he leaves in summer 2022 and if I were a betting man, I would say he will make less than 10 first team appearances in the next year and a half in the league and CL. There is always the EFL Cup and Europa League to consider.

No one really expected Cazorla to be able to play again given his injuries and multiple surgeries. He’s the outlier in that list, the rest of course was terrible mismanagement by Arsenal.

Especially with Wenger refusing to sell Sanchez for ~£60m to City 5 months before swapping him for Mhkitaryan.
