I dont know if that's a real thing.

Well the other alternative is United just don't get paid.. which I think is even less a real thing.
 
Oh I'm sure United will eventually get paid, but I dont think it's a thing where they give you a player instead of the money you owe.

The clubs could agree whatever they want.

The best asset Inter have to pay of the debts they owe are players.

So United could ask for any player to pay off the debt. If Inter value the player higher than the debt United can then pay the difference. It's not that difficult to understand.

Players are an asset that can be sold to anyone though. If Inter need to sell to pay off debt, they're not going to want to limit potential purchasers to just United.

And we don't even know if the players spoken about would want to move to United, or if United want the players. They may prefer cash.

Seems a pretty obvious case of adding 2 and 2 to get to 5.

I think it was more a case of suggesting a scenario where a solution can be found, particularly if there are regulations around missed player payments.
