Yeah very true.He can afford a paycut, of course he can. But will he take one? If Ronaldo really would go to City, even with his United history, you can see that he won’t take a paycut. City and PSG would absolutely pay £1M a week in wages to a single footballer, they are the only two clubs that would do that. So it’s no coincidence that Ronaldo is so heavily linked with City.
Real Madrid have shown they could afford that weekly wage as they’ve been down that road for years with Ronaldo. But they have their heart set on Mbappe.
Oh, yeah. I mean, I get it in a way, and they are in a position where they can demand whatever they want. But surely it gets to a point where if you want to play somewhere in particular, you just lower your demands etc.Messi is the same with PSG. The ego at that level is crazy.
It must be happening if "we didn't want him anyway".He's chasing cash. Was offered to us a while ago but we won't destroy our wage structure for him.

Who would buy him for the price we would want?Fab rom reckons sterling out if Ronnie comes in
"The first time City reached out to Levy about signing Kane, it did not get very far. They said they would like to discuss Kane’s future with him, but that any discussion would have to involve them sending players to Spurs in part-exchange. Levy asked who, and the five names offered were Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez. Levy was not interested. There was also no indication that these players would have agreed to go to Tottenham."Wonder who the 5 players were and whether they were aware of being used as cannon fodder to secure Kane. Not exactly confidence inspiring for those players who now stay.

Ronaldo to City is interesting for United fans and quite a lot will be pissed off about it for a while, it would be a massive FU to the fans and the club but the end of the day Ronaldo has only ever cared about winning, and at City his chances of winning is a lot higher than returning to United.
Plus you can't sign a player you don't make an offer to so the club shoulders some blame as well.
It's two years, we'll survive.
Our biggest issue right now is the fact we're dallying about on a midfielder and this whole international and teams refusing to allow them to go issue means we could lose Cavani for a long stretch of time over the next few months due to how many games Uruguay plays and with the isolation periods on return.
Would be silly to curtail the development of Rashford / Greenwood to fit him in for you guys. Ronaldo won't accept playing off the bench.
City actually have a need for a striker so it makes sense.
City need CF not another left sided forward
There it is.We over here doing fu** all.

It has to be asked- why are they not trying to sign Mbappe? If RM is their only competition they should easily outmuscle them financially.
Really could not understand signing Ronaldo over Mbappe.

Yeah no doubt he could, but does he want too. Guess we'll find out soon enough, pumped to see him back in the Prem.Ronaldo can play CF, I am sure of it, he is just needed to put the goals in.
