Amazing business for Chelsea to offload a dud for £30m. Joachim Andersen to Palace cost half that amount and he's a good player. Vestergaard to Leicester would have been about £15m.

I don't think that's the worst idea, I think PEA and Laca are on the way out, but it doesn't fit the profile you're talking about of a more experienced winner. But again, you're shelling out a lot of money to get these guys in.

Though, I think if Auba rediscovers his form we'd be OK. Big if though. I wouldn't be against selling him to get his wages off the books. I am not sure why DCL would want to join us at the moment currently either.

Need someone like a Diego Costa/Suarez etc type is a win at all costs kind of player. Team also lacks mongrels. Team lacks a lot of things actually.

Xhaka is a bit of a mongrel, just doesn't stay on the pitch as a result.

Even at his best I don't see DCL as a £70m footballer, and he would come with a huge risk that he might not thrive with a different team, structure, management, teammates etc.

Yeah this is the bigger one if they're now going after DCL, should have just tried to get Abraham. I thought Abraham turned them down though didn't he?
