It’s a wonderful feeling having Ronaldo back at the club. Yes, for the nostalgia but also because he was Serie A’s leading scorer only last season and scored 81 goals in 98 appearances for Juventus. He clearly knows where the goal is.

I can’t believe this day has arrived. I never thought it would ever happen after 2009.

Agreed. I would have preferred to keep James really.

Lingard is the better player but he's just wasting wages in a depth role. James has his (many) faults but I think some United fans are really underestimating how handy a depth option he was for us. He pretty much always starts the games where Ole expects us to have less possession than our opponents (e.g. City, Leeds) and in some of those recent wins against City his work rate off the ball to stretch the opposition defence has been a key factor. Kind of similar to how Ferguson used to use Park Ji Sung.
