From what I've read from Barca fans Firpo was signed to take the position, but Alba is just so good now he's not getting a look in.

Even if all the conditions were met for the variables (something I doubt given Barca didn't win anything of significance and he played less than 50 games over 2 years), those numbers don't add up to 40m

I did say 30-40 didn’t I?

£30m = €35m

Regardless, it seems like a decent deal at £13m.

Heard Firpo is good going forward but a bit suspect defensively, we were linked with him for a while, but would imagine our main focus is still to sign Lingard.

Be interesting to see how Firpo goes, presume he's replacing Alioski.
