Although your broader point about clubs not selling to the club that offers them and the player the most money is broadly right, I'd be surprised to see it happen in reality, but players don't hold all the power, nor do clubs.

Well, now I did.

I know that a player can’t force a club to sell Newcastle, just that there won’t be an “Anyone But Newcastle” transfer policy. It sounds nice and all but just won’t work in the real world.

I wouldn't mind Rice at Liverpool. Our midfielders are breaking down on a regular basis. If it was a choice between Rice and Bellingham for the same $$$ I'd pick Rice every day of the week. At least Rice is proven in the EPL.
