Why is there any need for Haaland to make a decision on his future until the season has finished? Seems a ridiculous headline.

For the player, unsure. Important for the club for planning purposes though

Prem will be as one sided as the Bundesliga if it happens.

Remember when United signed Veron and everyone said the same.

That we sign him or we don’t? :p

I am trying to figure out if he would be a good signing…

Don’t think he’s worth €15m, but he’s had a ripper season for us. Thing is it took him 3 seasons before to get there - so I guess it depends on if he holds this form or not. We offered him €8m, he wanted €10m - but happy to sell him for €30m(ish) and get Schlotterbeck for that money.

Think we prefer Araujo.

Imagine thinking Veron and Haaland are in the same park.

Maybe you shouldn't use your imagination so much Mr Strawman.

I think the point is that Veron was one of the best midfielders in the world at the time and Keane, Veron, Scholes, Giggs would dominate everyone.
One is a midfielder and one has 80 in 79 for BVB. If City buy Haaland, his record suggests you start every game 1-0 down you just dont know it yet.

Your point seemed to be what I was trying to clear up. [emoji23]
You weren't one of the few. ;)

It wasn't a comparison between the two, more an example of someone commonly thought as the final piece of the puzzle not really fitting.

No transfer is a guarantee of success.

We were expected to challenge signing Rom.

Bundesliga attackers seem to struggle coming to the prem, I'll be more worried when City signs Kane.

I don't think Haaland will struggle anywhere.

FWIW I'd be very happy if we sign Haaland, and I think the club want it to happen.

We have played without a traditional striker for two years now and it will require a change of style that has suited us pretty well.
