I did enjoy the Manchester Evening News saying they want Phillips over Rice because Rice is a box to box midfielder now and Phillips is a DM only.

So unless he goes on strike(which he wont) you'd be pretty confident of at least another 2 seasons of Declan?
Presuming no-one offers over 100M, I think we'd keep him for another season, but we may need the Europas at a minimum also.
I think in a way the owners may think transfer spending may not return to normal until say 15 months from now as well, clubs are still recovering back from everything covid still in a way.
