For real?
Yeah. I dont rate Varane as highly as some on here. Dont get me wrong hes a solid CB and will be good next to Maguire but Koundé has a much higher ceiling and you'll get more years out of him. I like him a lot(apart from his height).

Varane is a better CB than Kounde right now and that is all that matters when you want to challenge for a title. Kounde may become better but he also might not.

FWIW though I think that Spurs offer is BS.

Hmm not sure about that tbh, Varane lately yes has dipped but a change of scenery might revamp him back to his best. Kounde i was going to say he has the height of a winger not a half back. People were going on about how much Ake was undersized and he was 5'11.

Fair enough mate, imo Kounde just off a much better season and I'd have him as the better CB moving forward.

I agree he is pretty short and would better suited to a back 3 in the prem so not what you'd be after anyway.

Just got to upgrade your manager now and you'd be in the title race.

Varane only turn 28 a couple of months ago so safe to think he'd be in his prime for the next 3-4 years which is a decent amount of time depending on health etc.

Well if we get all these signings then Ole won't have any excuses for not competing for a title this season, but I know he is loved by the players which for the last managers we've had that wasn't the case.

Didn't ole finish 2nd? Without Sancho, varane etc.

Not sure how much closer he is expected to get

You can finish 2nd in the league and not contend City won the league by 12 points, did you think united were contending at all throughout the season? Pool finishing 2nd to City by a point in 2018/19 that is contending.

When you manage united you're expected to win titles.

This is a worse take than your acceptance of pineapple on pizza mate.

I guess you are right and humanity has got it wrong over several thousand years. Heathen!

I am sure when Jesus was eating Pizza during the last supper, he was eating pineapple to show his disciples a better way.
