Ole needs to win this season. I am yet to be convinced by him. Made some terrible team selections last year in games. Looks like he will have more quality at his disposal this season, so needs to get it right more times than wrong.

I never said I rated him. I just said credit where credit is due, you wanted Bojan to appreciate Tuchel for what he has done. It's not comparing the two as peers, it's simply acknowledging.

Liverpool's fill ins were sturdier. Varane is a much needed purchase.

Seems you forgot who your manager was and his style of play already . I agree Varane is a much needed buy but that's it our full backs are fantastic at what they do Slabhead is solid Varane is just the missing piece.

But with Varane mixed in with Maguire AWB and Shawberto that's only 5th best in the league?

I get the criticism Ole receives, should’ve won the EL last season, had a chance at the FA Cup too but fluffed that. He has improved us however, but this upcoming season he has to win a major title, contending for the PL is a must, and if Chelsea can go on and win the UCL, no reason why we can’t atleast go deep in that competition.

Yes the defence crumbled but without 3 of its best defenders for the majority of the season, not just one. Even under those circumstances the remaining players regrouped and still managed 3rd place.

It's very unlikely this happens to United but this post will be quoted later in the season if Utd lose Maguire, Varane & Lindelof for most of the season and performances drop off.

My post was poorly worded, by one player I was specifically talking about VVD, not saying you were only missing one player.

According to people on here United were trash last season with a crap manager, but finished second whilst being so crap, add a WC CB and RW with more to come and apparently that means they are still not as good as 3-4 other teams and will only drop further.

Yet those other teams that under-performed last season are just seen as blips who'll easily recover and leapfrog back ahead

You have to understand most people here don't watch united games and come out of their rocks when united do poorly etc.

Take this thread for example it's a transfer discussion thread but more seems all out attack on united because the signings they have made haven't made them better hmm. Love the notoriety of untied though.

Rightly or not I think it also reflects a fair amount of Man Utd supporter opinions as well to be fair…even some on here. He was way too defensive in some of the ‘big 6’ games

I agree with those game definitely went to defensive against the big 6 was very frustrating to watch it only worked against city and he thought that would be the case for the other 5.

I for one hope he has learned his lesson.
