No way they will be able to do that. To unilaterally terminate a player's contract they must have committed a serious breach of contract or the club would have to be insolvent or Barca pay out his contract in full.. Obviously Barca will always be solvent no matter what their financial woes and there's no way they are paying his contract out in full. I don't' see anything that Umtiti has done that would be serious enough to warrant a contract termination. Yeah he's been plagued by injuries but that in itself isn't a reason to terminate unless the player is unable to play ever again.


I see they are doing it with Pjanic also. Covid is biting hard for Real & Barca who make absolute fortunes off matchday revenue.
