I’ve gone off aouar, apparently doesn’t defend, it will be ozil all over again, except not as good
Yep, I'm with you. He would be good as a #10 type player but we've young Smith Rowe and other youngsters who can play there at a pinch but for a central midfielder to play alongside Partey? nope.

The player that would take us to another dimension in that position is Neves from Wolves. People reckon that 35 mill is too expensive but I reckon it's a snip for a player of his quality and abilities. He's made for the type of game we want to play. If he was playing in France or Spain or wherever, he'd come at a higher price which is strange considering he is a proven EPL player of the highest order. He's perfect for Arsenal.

Neves, White and Bissouma would transform the Gunners. Young Lokonga is an Elneny type, full of beans but only 21 years old and one for the future. He is right footed but his left foot isn't just for standing on. He's well balanced and keeps his feet and full of youthful exuberance; "in your face type" at the moment and a good squad player with plenty of upside.

Tavares has blistering speed and is a very good crosser of the ball but needs to work on the defensive aspect of his game but he too is only 21 and at 6.8 mill or there a-bouts, is a good signing. Bertrand on a free would have been good as a back up for Tierney but he wanted Champions League Football and at 31, who can blame him for going to Leicester? The other free agent as back up at left back available is Patrick van Aanholt but he's 30, and his defensive qualities aren't anything to right home about either so 6.8 mil for a youngster with the same attacking prowess and more pace and an opportunity to teach him the art of defense is much better I reckon.

Ryan going to Spain means we need another 'keeper - the young lad that's playing in the pre-season isn't physically ready yet as a back up and Runarsson isn't much chop. Some reckon we should have kept Martinez: what do they suggest we should have done with him, sedate him and only bring him 'round when needed to play? Hand cuffed him to the the radiator so he couldn't escape? The lad wanted to be guaranteed first choice and we couldn't offer him that guarantee so he chose to leave - hasn't stopped the haters from living in lala land though where circumstances and players' wishes mean jack shit!

Rumours from sources anywhere close to being reliable? Because just a few hours ago it was being reported that PSG hadn't even put an offer to Milan yet...
This is the crazy time of the year where all sorts of "experts" in the gutter press and in the twatosphere and blogasphere, "I've been told" types, parasites oops agents go into overdrive. Arsenal as an example, have been "connected" with 60+ different players they've been "chasing" or have "put bids in" for etc.

Football clubs the world over are very, very secretive of their transfer discussions and the bidding process but if we were to listen to the attention seekers and the pretenders, clubs leak like sieves and every player everywhere is being chased and/or looking to leave - it gives one a headache trying to follow what's supposedly going on!

Most of your players can't attack or defend. At least he can do one of those things.
We've got heaps of attacking players but only one defensive type in the heart of midfield and one terrier (Eleney), who's like one of those dogs you see in the park that goes tearing off after the tennis ball his/her owner has chucked. Xhaka's going (fingers crossed) and he neither attacks nor defends, or at the very least, pretends to. He's a witches hat but that's what the boss inherited.

These Xhaka takes still make me laugh. Guy is your best passer and had a brilliant euros. Watch ball, not football Twitter

White for 50m is overpaying for sure. Homegrown and only 23 is nice though. Seems to have the passing attributes Arteta wants in a CB. Will hopefully develop into a player worth that fee, it is a gamble though.

Still really need some CM reinforcements if Xhaka is leaving, a new RB and a reserve goal keeper. Probably some back up for ESR as well.

Still heaps to do.

He is not suited to the EPL. He has a lot more time when he plays for the Swiss.

Arsenal fans don't like him for other legitimate reasons.

Watch him play for Arsenal. There are good reasons they are trying to get rid of him. If he was so good there would be plenty of suitors.
