White (£52m), Ramsdale (£30m), Lokonga (£15m), Ødegaard (£30m), Tavares (£7m) = £𝟭𝟯𝟰𝗺

Money well spent?
Depends what Klopp thinks really.

For me, that's 134 million that doesnt make Arsenal significantly better at all. I had them mid table before all these signings and I'd still have them mid table now.

Arsenal have gone so far backwards they cant even attract top talent anymore. It's alarming for Arsenal fans.

He wouldn't be a terrible get for you guys or Hammers. He's alright in a back 4, good defensively but just panics a bit with the ball at his feet. With the right partner he's fine.

Seems like BS. If Spurs want him and Chelsea would do the deal why hasn't it happened yet?

I see what we are trying to do. Buy young players who have re-sale value, something we have struggled with recently.

Odegaard is good business for the first team IMO.

Tavares is back up for Tierney.

Lukonga is one for the future.

White and Ramsdale remain to be seen but I wouldn't be writing them off only playing 1 and 0 games respectively for the club. Especially while we are still missing starters in Gabriel, Partey, Aubameyang and Lacazette.

I still think our main issue is the coaching. If/when Arteta gets the sack, the incoming manager will have a decent young core to work with.

What's the net spend?

As I said when the Ramsdale transfer was raised a few days ago, they're clearly pivoting their strategy to young players with re-sale value and huge potential. Whether that potential is met is another discussion, but White and Ramsdale could potentially be future England internationals and in the right set up (is that Arsenal?) could come on in leaps and bounds.

If you're an Arsenal fan the money spent and signings are fairly uninspiring, but they are clearly signings requiring judgement years from now.

It is. There is a market for all types of players, so how Lingard and Dan James are still at United is a bit of a mystery.

Lingard looks to be a who'll blink first dealio, we have a price in mind (25m) but happy to keep as squad player if that bid isn't made, we could blink and take 20m though.

Almost the same with James, not even sure we are trying to sell him as he seems to be a part of the match day team.

The Andreas loan move also looks like it could basically run into him being a FA so basically a salary sacrifice.

I think Odegaard is reasonably exciting, if for nothing else than the reputation he had a few years ago.
