Is it wrong that I don't want us to sign Ronnie?

There is a logjam already at Left Wing, the transfer fee means that we won't sign a CM which we desperately need, and unless he performs well it could turn into a shitshow.

It would have hurt seeing him play for City but this doesn't make us a materially better team imo.

Ronnie has played more centrally lately. So he's more of a threat to Cavani's and Martial's place.

Apparently Premier League rules mean that the only way Ronnie can have the number 7 shirt is if Cavani leaves the club. I wonder if 'CR7' is part of the negotiations?

Whilst true, what are the highest earners on at United?

I know we are trying to sort Salah's deal and rumours are he will be the first player on the books to breach 300k per week.

Think he was on around 220/250.

But isnt Ronaldo on something ludicrous like 750k a week or something?

Apparently will be on around £480k p/w at United.

Im surprisingly chill about it. Mainly because I think Ronaldo is a big of a spent force now so wont move the needle too much for United. They already had great attacking options anyways so nothing really changes.

Yeah I feel this is part nostalgia, part selling shirts.

Ronaldo was the leading scorer in Serie A only last season. He’s 36, yes. Ibra was 35 when he scored 17 goals in the Premier League and 28 goals in all competitions. I wouldn’t say that nothing really changes in terms of the attacking options. Ronaldo playing in place of Martial makes a huge difference. No one expects prime Ronaldo but he’s always scored goals, even at this age.

Be interesting to see how you set up. It's always about Ronaldo, not about the team. So he will expect to start every game, expect to take pens and expect the attack to revolve around him so he can score goals.

I dont know if that helps United or hurts them.

We will see soon. Very excited that he's back at the club for one final go around in Europe.

Yet but he’s top scoring in a farmers league. He won’t be able to handle the physicality of the prem. Will get found out in the worlds best league. Just lucky he doesn’t have to try and get past slabhead

Surely 15-20m gets it done.

After signing Ronaldo, surely both Lingard and Martial are sold. One this summer and the other next summer if the club wants to hold onto Martial for depth because Rashford will be out for a while.

I can’t tell if your post is meant as a joke or not.

In case it isn’t, Ronaldo is in better shape than any footballer in the Premier League. He’ll be fine.
