Yeah this is the bigger one if they're now going after DCL, should have just tried to get Abraham. I thought Abraham turned them down though didn't he?
Tammy wanted to stay in London, but Roma were more desperate to get him, promising him being the one to lead their line. Something Arsenal couldn't.

I am not sure if DCL is the answer.

Why are we not throwing that kind of a money at a proper DM? Or a first choice RB?

70m for DCL is bizarre, I don't think he is a poor player, but he isn't 70m good.
No no, you are paying 70m

TBH it won't happen because we are apparently selling Kean back to Juve - bit of a flop there and he clearly has mentality issues to deal with. That means we have 1 striker back up before selling DCL and that's Tosun. That is unless we roll that 70m into Harry Kane because he wants to come to someone with trophy history.

Sounds like we are signing Nikola Vlasic over Jesse Lingard.

Deal to be announced tomorrow.

Not happy Jan! Vlasic has done well in the potato farmers league but struggled for Everton. Whereas Jesse Messi is proven in the EPL, often in a starring role last season for the Hammers.

That was a few years ago and he wasn't given a chance by Fat Sam after Koeman was dismissed. Then Silva sold him off and we all know how good he was at Everton...

EDIT: He played in 19 games for Everton, 6 after BFS was in charge (BFS took charge of 26 games that season for Everton) Everton played 51 games that season but Vlasic was at Everton for 44 of them. So you can see he played 13 of 18 under Unsworth/Koeman and did ok for a first season as a 20 year old and then 6 of 26 under BFS (one being the Limassol game that Sam didn't go to and sent a B team including Vlasic)

So Dalot and CHO both agreed to terms, but respective managers won’t let them go until a replacement is found.

Which sucks for both of them - CHO has played one game since May. Dalot 3 minutes since the end June

Surely you can replace a bench player with an up and coming youth player

Appreciate the edit info. I didn't realise Vlasic was so young when he was at the Toffees. There's been plenty of players who didn't make it first time in the EPL who have succeeded 2nd time round.

There's rumours that Lingard might sign after all.

Went from Croatian league to EPL at 20, never an easy step unless you're Messi-like basically. Has done well in Champions League for CSKA though and scored against Real Madrid.

United loaned out the up and coming RB options

Really? What a weird rule
I'm sure they approach the agent but they can't officially sign them til after the season has ended. Overseas clubs can sign him with 6 months left. Reasons for it? Not sure other than to prevent lots of poaching, or maybe it's an English law in general outside of football.
