Other than Werner everyone else was pretty clinical.

I've admired Chelseas attacking style.
Nah, wasn't just Werner. Only City created more chances than us last season. We just couldn't finish them.

I think you've just got us all backwards tbh.

He'll be betting on the fact the front 3 stay healthy and can play all 50+ games for the season.

Awkward moment when he remembers the African Cup of Nations..

Saul is a great signing for us. Having a midfield to pick from Kante, Jorginho (the clear top 2), Kovacic and Saul is very ****ing deep, and we have a shitload of games to play this season.

Think our depth is looking really good now.
Silva and Chalobah as the CB backups (and James if absolutely necessary), Azpi/Reece for RWB, Chilwell/Alonso for LWB if we are in a more defensive/attacking mindset. Or we can go ultra with Pulisic and CHO there. Only two strikers isn't ideal, but Havertz can play a role there as well if needed.

Their fall from grace started long before that game. I'd say when Sandro Rossell got rid of Laporta.

They were on track to the do the double that season comfortably, not sure how you could call that a fall from grace. That loss caused massive fallouts amongst the fans and the squad and they never really recovered since, going backwards in La Liga and Europe massively. They haven't adapted to the pandemic at all which I guess you could blame on Bartomeu mostly.

Besides, Barca did just great from 2011-2014 under Rossell . Bartomeu was pretty good initially 2014 onwards but went crazy after the Neymar buyout clause transfer.

When Chelsea signed Lukaku, I already thought that’s the missing piece of the puzzle to win the title. Similar to when United signed van Persie. Same vibes to it.

To now add Saul as well, wow. That’s a club that knows how to get shit done.

LOL, OK it was all about Liverpool then.

Made a £41m profit in the window too.

When does James' contract expire at Everton?

Thought he was off, unless I missed it he's going to be earning 200k a week to twiddle his thumbs?
Out of contract end of season, but the club have an option to extend it by another season.

eh?

Defence is our strongest quality wdym
chef Wouldn't you agree it's not your half backs other than Silva that are decent but the fact that your CDMs one of them being top 10-15 in the world with Kante being the best in the CDM in the world imo. That covers up for the defence itself?

I don’t think Memphis has watched Chelsea much lol
I won't go out of my way to watch every game of theirs but I'll watch the big clashes their in as well as the early games if they're scheduled on for.

Well your attack can't be that bad if you're 2nd in creating chances. Yes you have to finish them but have to create first before you can finish.

Chelsea got what they needed in attack for sure in this window, just could do with another great CB imo.

Yeah, thats why i said our weakness is being clinical. We create the enough chances we just can't finish them.

And we did try and sign Kounde.

Neither of our CMs sit in front of the defence, thats the beauty of a back 5.

Christensen and Azpi are both underrated imo, class footballers and Rudiger is a completely different beast under Tuchel. Sure they wouldn't be as good under someone else in a different structure but under what we have they are perfect.

CL defenders of the season. Also Mendy was GK of the season.
