They both could be used as given names but are generally more a surname

I dunno I'd say I see more people with the first name Lewis than as their surname.

There's a pretty decent F1 driver that comes to mind. ;)
 
Seen news that Weghorst will go to Burnley. Used to use him a bit in FIFA, so nice blast from the past. Could be a decent signing for them though seems like he's getting on a bit now.

They are both pronounced the same way.

Louis is normally pronounced Loo-y, Lewis would be pronounced Loo-is.
