I'd just love to know what the problems are.

He's on 220 now. Does he want like 400 and we're only offering 300? Or are we offering 350 or something stupid like 280. Are we offering 280 but he only wants 350? Like give me the details!? It's driving me nuts.

Salah has himself come out and said he's not asking crazy stuff. But does he think crazy stuff is 500-600 but he's still asking 400?

We will never know but it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Does anyone know what the top earners are on at other top clubs? Obviously City, PSG, Chelsea and now Newcastle can probably offer 400-500? But I dont think Bayern pay guys absurd amounts? Im not sure whats going on with the finances at Barca? What are the top earners on at Real now that Ronaldo isnt there?

United pay big dollars but are trash and a rival so he wont end up there.

Im just trying to figure out that the money he wants from us, there isnt really a lot of other options that will give him the same sort of coin. Mo is massively ambitious too so he would only go to clubs that can offer big coin and big chances at the biggest trophies. So I dont think Bayern supply the money, United dont offer trophies plus are our rivals so he wouldnt jeopardise his legacy with Liverpool fans.

City is a stretch too as they are also rivals now and would tarnish his legacy with the fans. For me that leaves PSG, Real and Barca. Im sure Barca would want him but all pointers suggest Real are into Haaland and Mbappe. PSG maybe?

Haha it's funny you say that. I have a mate who has a soft spot for West Ham (can't even remember why, maybe when Andy Carroll went there) who's a Liverpool supporter, so whenever they play, we do always think of that as a 'derby' game even though it's nowhere near one.

Not rivals as in City rivals but I would think that like Juventus/AC/Inter Milan and Barcelona/Atletico Madrid are rivals for titles, that City/Chelsea/Liverpool/United/Spurs/Arsenal are big matches and rivalries for the same reason.

Liverpool have the option to re-sign Salah, they know what he's asking for. If they don't do it, it's on Liverpool, not Salah.

Not really anything about intelligence most of the time…

They operate in different investment circles at that level and with the networking opportunities. it’s fairly easy to lose that sum of money on large scale developments or business start ups.

Not all of them piss it away on parties.

Seems stupid from a regular mum and dad however.
