I dont think anyone will pay more than £80m for him, if Hammers want to much clubs will just wait 12 months. He's young and doesn't seem like he's in a rush so clubs will wait.

It's getting kinda ridiculous and a lot of the noise is coming from West Ham it seems who want to cash in.

Yeah Atleti will take him back 100%

Barca will be happy to see him go.

A shitty deal either way for Barca who take a 60m hit in the space of two years.

The loan to buy stuff is just a FFP workaround for both clubs.

Not to mention the 800K in wages they gave to him...

I mean would you say Grealish was worth 100M right now? Think teams would have paid that for Dec last off-season and he's played better this season.

We can still trigger a 12 month option on him also, so technically we have him tied down for 3 seasons after this one.

Grealish isn't worth 100m in normal times. Certainly not smack bang in a pandmeic. That's why Villa set his buyout clause that high. They thought nobody would trigger it.

He is 26, English and a very good player

We’ll have a budget, which will be significantly less if we miss out on CL football. Can’t be spending it on 1 player, as good as Rice is, who would be great for us, isn’t the missing piece to the puzzle, we need many pieces to our puzzle.

The current state of United's puzzle. ;)

£150m for Rice is nonsense. £80 to £100m is possible depending on which clubs want him.

Hammers best chance of CL next season is winning the Europa League. I would rank it as unlikely. I can see them getting past Lyon but then they would probably face Barca in the semis. If the winner of the Europa League has already qualified for the CL the place doesn't drop down to the next highest Europa League finisher.

I'd be happy for us to pay 100 mil but 150 is ridiculous.
