That's different IMO. People will turn there back on another countries dealing, play the old it's none of our business, what can I do about it card.

It's not like the people who murdered Khashoggi are lining up at CF and as your box to box midfielder.

Greenwood though is very much the rapist. He's the guy. I dont reckon he finds employment in football again.
We'll see I guess.

He does credit people sometimes

WA.D obsession with Fab doesn't take into account that for most fans we don't care, his tweets are by and large accurate and for the average fan having someone who relays accurate news on our club that eliminates the saturation of fake transfer news is all we want. The media outlets that deliberately peddle false transfer rumours for clicks are the people to criticise.

Hes a tap in merchant, but that also means he doesn't post much crap. You know things are going to happen when he goes with them, I dont see the issue.
Unfortunately every one has an opinion.

You can't please every one.

Never had a problem with Fab I quite enjoy listening to his podcasts too.

he's young, talented and plays (played?) for a big club. clubs will be all over it and then gauge how bad the backlash is from their own fans.

If he gets convicted and jailed dont expect him to play again in England. Id say a more likely place for his career to resume is some far flung eastern european league or a club in ME/China.

He wont get a gig in US / Australia. there will be too much negative publicity. Assumimg he is found guilty & convicted.

The US is definitely open to him.

Good luck finding a club that will accept a convicted rapist who used to play at Man Utd. His name will be all over the place and smeared publicly. MLS clubs are still very sensitive to that sort of stuff.

Ronaldo is apparently a rapist.

Etc.

Reckon he gets picked up top level young talents don't grow on trees

You just need to look at the NFL and NBA in regards to similar accusations and crimes to know that he'd have no trouble finding a gig.

Can see him in Spain or Italy

The difference being those sports are established sports with established clubs. Saying that I can't find too many recent rape convictions at all in the NBA.

Considering how high profile Man Utd is in the US I just don't see any MLS club going anywhere near a former Utd player who has been jailed/convicted for rape.

Yeah people are forgetting the 'convicted' element of the charge. If he's convicted I dare say he'll have a bit more trouble finding a club than someone just accused like Ronaldo.

We're not talking about a convicted rapist though. And you can find plenty of cases in US sport for sexual assault allegations and some of those players are getting million dollar contracts whilst under investigation.

Feel free to die on this hill but history in US sports suggests Greenwood could find a team to play with in the USA.

Considering the hypothetical was IF he's convicted, yes in this hypothetical we're talking about a convicted rapist.

Regardless of it all, the USA isn't a moral compass of the world. Mike Tyson was jailed for rape and dominated boxing afterwards and is very well loved in America.

They won't care if it puts bums on seats or trophies in the cabinet.

I guess I more thought in England. Greenwood is obviously much more well known in England and those audio and pictures, everybody heard and saw. Even without a conviction I reckon he finds it hard to get a contract from a PL club and he's not gonna play in League Two or anything.

But yeah I actually agree having thought about it, he might find a club in Turkey, Asia, USA, Far East etc...

He was rated among the best / most valuable in the world for his age group.

I doubt he will be at a standard as low as turkey / middle east even with his poor record.

Assuming he's not in jail *

You think he would find a club in Italy or Spain? Germany?
