United is the prime proof that spending doesnt guarantee success (or even a good squad).

We've spent a lot but we tend to get it right with our spending. United spend just as much but forever reason their signings don't seem to have worked out.
City and Pool spend their money really well. They have barely missed in recent times. United and Chelsea on the other hand probably nail one in every three or four signings.

Exactly and that’s the thing. I think I can easily count 7 players that started the game against Liverpool that wouldn't make it in Liverpool or City’s entire PL squad. That’s a big problem.

Just 7? I would have gone with 10. De Gea would make their squad.

Still is defensively. Which is what everyone said at the time. Everyone knew he was limited going forward.

The comparisons at the time were dumb but we all had to pretend they had merit. Wan-Bissaka is barely PL quality. If he played for Liverpool he’d get exposed defensively way more than TAA. The guy is bang average, even United fans must have known deep down.

Are you sure? Pretty sure United fans were convinced that their whole defence was better at defending than Liverpool's pre-season.

I never really saw much of Wan-Bissaka at Palace but it was pretty clear early on at United that he was rubbish. He can’t even dribble a football.

I’ve seen Maguire play very well in big games for England, same with Shaw, and De Gea was at least world class once so I can understand fans being bullish about those guys, but Wan-Bissaka? He’s crap.

He's defensively one of the best Fullbacks in the PL. That's where any sort of PL ability ends.
