No doubt, but I was more talking about what's the point buying a young good keeper who'll just be loaned out(that's what ll happen at Real too) when we already have one on our books.

We do need to replace Kepa who has said his goodbyes last week, but that should be some veteran looking for a cushy 2nd keeper spot.

We've got Carson as ours, believe he's getting a contract next year too. He must be about 55 years old.by now, but he's good to have around the changing room.

These guys are a dime a dozen. Get one of them in and let Baxter find his place in the football world imo.

I guess it really is his call though as it's his career. If he thinks he's good enough(he has mentioned a few times he wants have a crack at it) and he sees there is a clear pathway with his peers and youf teammates already in the team/squad. Who could blame him for taking a chance.

But it's a hard gig to crack.

And for me, your best chance of taking over a number 1 keeper role is to prove it on matchday week in week out, at the best level you find yourself at.
