Except that's bullshit in this case
The issue with Caicedo was that there were multiple parties involved claiming to represent the player or to be involved in the transfer and it got drawn out and messy.
So wasn't a money issue, more United pulled the pin because of the above issues.

I guess we aren't far off it already with our last bid being 70m. We are pretty desperate for another CB and I think you know it so we'll end up paying what ever you want. Feels like Boehly is keen to get whatever Tuchel wants at any cost(as with Cucurella), after Marina giving him pretty much nothing for the last 3 windows he does deserve to be showered with gifts haha.
As we saw on the weekend we are going to be forced to play the best RB in the league at RCB as Azpi is a fading force. It's not ideal.

Interesting to see how he goes in England. Linked to him when we had Mourinho.
Reportedly were offered him last month but Conte decided he’d rather Udogie from Serie A. So keen to see how Estupinan fares.

Would be a good investment.
We had previously tried to sign him around 2020 but he chose Watford at the time.
Since then has earned a heap more experience in decent tournaments which hopefully means he's matured into a better player.
Was named in the Copa America team of the tournament at left back so must have some ability.
Forever to be known as Cucurella's replacement now.

Think he's a bit different in style.
Gets a lot more crosses in and more physical. Probably get sent off in the PL at some stage.
Cucu is outstanding at putting himself in the right spots and his passing is excellent.
We had interest in DU so we'll be watching him to see how he pans out in the PL.

Not sure that's true. He was only meant to have a 2 week trial but he impressed that much he stayed for the preseason. Sounds like a chance of a lifetime.
