Seems talk of City being netspend Champs was premature, looks like they come 2nd last.
Youth arrivals and loans really distort this. Should only be tallying first team signings.
As it stands they're trying to tell us Inter are averaging 70 incomings and 66 outgoings a year.

If you spend many years spending many billions on the team eventually making a 'profit' isn't that impressive
Dont know why anyone would be impressed (or otherwise) with the amount of profit a club makes in the transfer window.

An impressive window for me is determined by the improvement in your squad, not the amount of profit or loss you make.

Maybe a quaint, old fashioned notion.

City are known for cooking their books anyway, can’t really take notice of any of their numbers.
Ha ha.

Isn't that the same for any big club, jusr a matter how far you go back

Is there such a thing as player for player net spend or does it need to be over the entire transfer window?

Everyone rags on Harry Maguire for costing £80M but shouldn’t the fee only be £7M after the club sold Lukaku for £73M three days later?

Asking for a friend who doesn’t know how this whole net spend business works.

You can manipulate this netspend shit to suit your club by picking and choosing what and when you include tbh. Just funny how it triggers a few.

Yep like Antony has gone from 100m euros Inc add ons to a guaranteed £100m.

I guess it's just a comprehensive list including all signings the clubs make.

Yeah we are the same atm, all the totals of our spend includes the add on. We got to get there first haha.
haaland's seems to include speculative fees, wages and his weekly shop

£50m is a lot to pay for a kid with next to no senior experience. A lot of us for hoping he'd be one of the next to break through into the senior team, but the experience he'll get at Southampton will be invaluable.

And who knows what will happen from there, I wouldn't be shocked if we bought him back in a couple of years.

Yeah, selling with a buyback seems the new loan army style and probably a better one.

Yeah but it's unusual to be owned by a middle east oil national, next level.

Clearly rm, utd, Chelsea did it too but you could argue they earned it somewhat instead of splashing from the owners trillion-wallet.

That's modern football and at least under pep city are enjoyable to watch

For selling clubs like ajax. Benfica etc. The profit made is note worthy and usually impressive.

intrigued by this move. hopefully our dortmund spine will end with bellingham in the middle at some point

People speak as if Bellingham plays for Liverpool but I could see city wanting him. Gundogan not signed on yet and old. BSilva seemed to indicate he's gone.

The next tier; Chelsea united etc. Will be curious too
