Having said that there are some on this forum who will accuse you of exploiting amortisation by offering longer than a 5 year contract!

Things that never happened 104327.

Our wages are 62% of turnover. Last seasons accounts pretty much all bonuses were hit as we are the only club to play every match possible in a season winning two trophies. So naturally wages are high and I believe our commercial revenue / income was the best ever last season.

This season will see a significant drop in wages. Darwin is on half of Manes wages for example.

37m isnt a big money move either (if you are referring to Gakpo). Thats peanuts! Gakpo also on low wages.

We should be spending more than Chelsea.
Wasn't the wage figures released from the 20/21 season? You finished 3rd in the league, 4th round of the FA Cup, 4th round of the League Cup and the QF of the Champions League. 2nd highest wage bill in English football (after United), 5th highest in Europe.

I'd expect wages in the next set of accounts to be significantly higher.

Bournemouth having a great window. Shows the strength/wealth of the league they seem to be battling Milan for a footballer.

Who needs the Super League. It's the EPL.

Arsenal and Brighton seem to have an ok relationship 🤔 that may help... 🤷‍♂️ Or Brighton might just tell us to **** off and stop poaching our bloody players.

I think Brighton will say no almost regardless of price given the amount of players they've lost. They need a bit of stability.

Everyone praised Southampton's ability to regenerate after continuous raids but it does wear down after a while even just because of a lack of continuity in the side.

If I was them I'd take the income from some of the profits they've made and use it to boost the wages on the squad and try to retain a key core.
