Cardiff was ok, not a whole lot to do though. Doctor Who set was cool. Swansea have a good set up with the stadium but not much else.

Cardiff are Championship bottom dwellers. He could go back to Southampton to get a game. Or even Spurs for some more Champs League,

A Conte pre-season probably kills him lol.

I'm taking my Mum there for a week in September. Where would you recommend?
You could just village hop really. Loads of nice villages, and plenty I've not come across yet. We tend to stay around Pllwheli and use that as a base to go to places like Criccieth, Betwys-Y-Coed. Conwy and Llandudno are great bigger places.

Abersoch has a great beach, Porthdinllaen has a great pub right on the beach.

But you could really just drive and stop and chances are it'll be a really nice place. Loads of good walks around if you're into that sort of thing, best bit if you are is to pick a walk and explore the best bits around there while you're at it.

Went for a weekend out there once about a decade back and at 2AM on a Sunday the main streets looked liked absolute carnage with people drunk / puking etc.. Not much else to do there besides that really, although I think Wales playing England in the Six Nations on the Saturday probably had something to do it with also....
