I more meant as in he was at one time one of the hottest prospects in English football had the world in his palm and he can’t now even get a game in the Turkish league.

Because that's his level these days. Does he have long left on his Everton deal? Bearing in mind they have an incentive not to play him so they don't pay any add ons to Spurs.

His level could be a lot more money in the US or the Middle East. He doesn’t have to settle for the money he was probably earning when he was 17 years old, just because he isn’t good enough to play for a big club anymore.

Obviously impossible to tell without knowing him but I'd say he's more likely to retire than play for an MK Dons.

Would surely have to have some regrets later in life knowing some of the chances he's squandered.

I was thinking the opposite, I'd assume he's on a pretty modest contract. He'd retired after all, so feel like it's more him giving back to the club that launched him, and obviously getting a taste of their publicity.

That is possible. I just remember watching this a while ago.

In short, Newcastle were after him. he didn't really want to go so asked for significant overs to make it worth his while as he would have had to relocate, had a young family, etc. Newcastle said yet to his terms and then Foster backed out anyway.
