Arsenal pissed about with a 60m bid which was never going to cut the mustard in a mid season window. Chelsea bid 55m - laughable considering the amoutn they spunked on other crap. 90m probably would have gotten the deal done.

The club actually stated he wasn't for sale at all.

It was the click bait rattling off the sums of money it would take for us to sell him.

We all assumed around 100 million might be the number but the club never indicated a sale was possible.

They were vindicated in the end as they stated our goal was Europe and he was a big part in aiming to achieve that.

Billy Gilmour has been excellent in the last third of the season so he will hopefully get first crack in the midfield to partially replace AMac.

Replacing Caicedo will be the biggest priority if we're to maintain our form.

Doesn't seem to be on our radar.

Alex Scott from Bristol City is someone who we've been linked with apparently.

Added we have Jakob Moder to come back from a LTI and Alzate out on loan too.

Lots to play out yet, will be a busy offseason for us.

Milner seems done. Reckon he will be huge in the dressing room. I wouldn't be surprised if you get 3 seasons out of the old bugger.

Probably Lallana had a hand in that if it goes through.

It's always been part of our system to bring in an experienced head every season or so.

Bridge, Sidwell, Welbeck, Lallana and now Milner it seems.

All have played a part in our rise up the table and all were excellent in the leadership and club room sense.

Probably one aspect of our recent success that's been overlooked.
