Was reading that they have billions of pounds worth of assets managed by Clearlake. Boehly has very close ties with PIF apparently, and now you’re offloading a heap of players to the Saudi league, definitely fishy.

The British media were trying to construct the same scenario where Ronaldo went deal back to Newcastle. Somewhere in the FFP rules they can't do it. Something along the lines it doesn't constitute fair contract value.

I was only reading that 2nd hand though.

If it was the case then you'd imagine that Newcastle would've already be signing up players from the 1st transfer window on the same sort of deals.

Would be ironic if Oscar joined a Saudi team. Currently his Chinese club won't let him go without a transfer fee and can't afford to pay him his wages either. Under contract until Nov 30 2024.

A Saudi club could solve those two problems easily for him.
