Can someone explain what this lever thing is, like I am 5?
My understanding is that the levers are income derived by sales of future revenue streams, like significant percentages of their TV rights income, merchandising etc. Once a sale has been approved that is considered a lever pulled and income generated that reduces debt and brings them closer to financial targets set by La Liga.

Reason why they are asking players to renegotiate contracts and forgo owed wages is that they have less money in future to pay them. They are going on a spending spree now to ensure they can challenge for trophies and thus maximise the existing revenue streams they have in future years.

Barca are looking at a third 'lever' which would enable them to keep FDJ and register their signings. It would involve selling 49% of their merchandising rights. I mean seriously....what the **** are the members doing allowing this shit to happen. We are watching a club implode.

I hope so.

Have read a few Depay to Utd rumors. Could help them hang on to FDJ.

So we aren’t the only club in the world who will give massive wages to average footballers? £200k! A week? For Jesse Lingard? My goodness! 😂
Scored 9 in 16 games for the Hammers last time he got regular games. Still an international and was a free transfer and it’s only a one year deal. Some risk but if he helps keep them up he’s well worth it

Still an International is a stretch.

Was involved in ten games last year. Hard to stay involved if not getting game time

Would be shocked if he ever played for England again but then again Southgate is a moron.

What even if (yes big if) he replicated his Hammers form? Don’t think England would be in a position to knock that back

Why wouldn't they be? England already has plenty of midfield and attacking talent. England team would be almost set for the WC, maybe only Sancho and Rashford to be added if they are playing well.
