Forster had an awful season for Soton. Come on now, there's one reason only that you've signed him.

Just like City, Arsenal, Chelsea, United also have young English players. But they also all go out and get that mid to late 30s keeper to sit on the bench. It's boring and against the spirit of the rule.
Why would you consign a young up and coming keeper to a backup or third choice role where they won't develop. Pointless, better off getting them out on loan and getting an old bloke in to cover the spot

We have Steffen in as our backup but he should be looking to move on to somewhere he'll play, next summer if not this.

Citys 2 keeper will be a young up and coming gk...

Bazunu I'd guess

Lee grant
What about him hahaha we passed the homegrown regulations without him.

We could have put young homegrown keepers in the 3rd/4th keeper role but instead we loaned them out to get first team experience rather than let them rot.

I even think with him, he's probably better off going somewhere else and playing, on loan or on a permanent deal. Maybe a year as a backup but there really isn't much in it for a backup keeper at a top club. Maybe a bit of Cup glory, and a decent wage.

I'm trying to think of any that have been a backup and worked their way into the starting lineup and stayed there.

For those confused about Home Grown eligibility - 2021/22 Premier League squads confirmed . Home Grown does not equal players who have come through your clubs academy.

Including the legend that is Lee Grant we had 16 home grown players in our first team squad last season. Grant and Jesse are off with Garner coming back in.

Obviously it's better for Bazunu or whoever is regarded as the best young gk - to be sold or loaned but the question is what's best for man city.

I expect he stays seen as a Steffen upgrade

That's why we have Begovic and Lonergan as 2 and 3. Tyrer & Crellin can go out on loan/play PL2.

Salah - Nunez - Diaz

OR

Kulusevski - Kane - Son

Which starting front 3 is better? I think Spurs might still edge it but Liverpool have much better depth off the bench with Jota.
