PMSLMansour had another Abu Dhabi government fund buy his shares (IPIC).
Easy to make money when you can call upon oil money to buy a fee billion quid of shares in your name.
Without oil money / Abu Dhabi money Mansour is a nobody.
Has 12 months left on his deal. Could easily say it is profiting off his contract status which has been A-Ok in football for ages. But profiting off an alleged sexual assault is OK?
His asking price was double 12 months ago before all this came to the fore.

I'll let you off the salad. Reckon you've had more than the average Joe
If I hadn't been charged, and was not guilty, yes, I would feel aggreived.Has 12 months left on his deal. Could easily say it is profiting off his contract status which has been A-Ok in football for ages.
You're trying to apply a moral standard to me on 'what if's' to combat far more far reaching issues with City et al ownerships.
Let me riddle you this in reply. If you, Cruyff14 were arrested for the same thing last year and many months later still hadn't been charged with anything would you be happy if that was hindering your career development at your current job? Or hindering your ability to change jobs?
If he ends up being charged and then found guilty then we'll have bought poorly, and I will not want him to play for us.
Your mate is holding him to that standard before anything of substance has come to pass and you're trying to get me to do the same.
Are they magic? Everton will buy them for 40millionNot one with beans in it anyway.

No ambiguity. Come back to me when/if he's charged. If I hadn't been charged, and was not guilty, yes, I would feel aggreived.
If I were guilty, I'd not really have grounds to complain.
I think it's a good signing FWIW, but the moral ambiguity here leaves a lot to be desired.
Speaking of Everton transfers...Are they magic? Everton will buy them for 40million
He has been released under investigation.Id want Bissoumas case heard before signing him if it were us and only sign him if all charges are dismissed.

You realise many sexual assaults don't result in charges. And many that do result in charges don't get found guilty.Has 12 months left on his deal. Could easily say it is profiting off his contract status which has been A-Ok in football for ages.

Doesn't mean something dodgy didn't happen.

Only CL side in for him his agents would have warned off a few like Villa who were in for him around 35m a couple of weeks ago. The investigation isn't the only reason we are getting a bargain but it's definitely involved and feels a bit wrong. Like the player but will always be a hard player to fully get behind. Like Serge Aurier bur actually good!Yet having 12 months left on his contract is likely the primary reason for the reduced price tag
Lovely.
Whatever you saved on Bissouma, you overpaid for here.
Is Spence as chaotic and nuts as I've read?Nah.
Arrested around Xmas wasn't he?How long has the Bissouma investigation been going on for now?
Seems a long time for someone to have this having over his head, and while I understand its not a great look to be signing someone under investigation for sexual offences the bloke can't be expected to put his career on hold when he hasn't been charged.m
Isn't Greenwood about to have his charges dropped? Justice doesn't always prevailIn that case any time an accusation is made you would have to cut a player loose.
You have to let justice take its course. If charges are dropped / dismissed thats innocent for me.
