Its Barcelona. At the time (2018) it was pretty much a guarantee. 5-10% commission likely on such a high profile deal.

If Barcelona 2018 was judged to be able to guarantee payment why did Liverpool sell the debt? We don't know the commission rate but 10% of £142 million is substantial.

We don't know the terms of the deal. If Barcelona default on their payments to the third party, will some or all of that be passed on to Liverpool?

Is it really wise to keep pursuing a player whose first preference is to not play for you.

Fab is wrong on this one. FDJ is happy to join and personal terms will take no time at all, the delay is purely down to Barca paying him what they owe.

No one in existence walks away from 16m.

Last I heard they offered him 3m to leave.

Only if you believe Barca PR. Barca and United both want this sorted by the end of the week but need Frenkie to agree to his payout.
Wake me in 2024 then when Barca can either scrounge his wages or the administrator pays him with the melted down trophies.

At this point if you're owed money by Barca and get to play them at the Nou Camp you'd be taking some seats from the stands home, nicking all the china and cutlery.
There is stuff left?
